“We’ll work on it til it’s right. Once it’s right, we’ll make it perfect. You’re allowed to hate me if that’s what it takes. It’s the pursuit of perfection that leads us on.”
Together with coaches, physical therapists, and athletes, Larry Arnold has combined decades of research and development to create the NeuroMeta Performance System. This color coded exercise platform is easy to follow and progresses with it’s user, allowing for continued improvement.
Initially developed to assist post rehab patients, the principles inNeuroMeta Performance have been proven to enhance motor skill development and drastically reduce work out related injuries. By ordering Neuro muscular education and Metabolic conditioning, before Performance training, the mind and body are prepared to develop as a unit. This three tiered progression, allows users to create functional movement patterns, better fitness programs, and to maximize training output.
A member of both the ’94 and ’95 National Championship Nebraska Cornhuskers football team, Larry boasts a solid strength and power lifting background. Competing in swimming, track and field, triathlon, and MMA, he has become not only a teacher of perfect mechanics, but also a student of sport. An initial certification through NASM ( National Academy of Sports Medicine) led to the study of functional training and ultimately to program design. Always willing to learn , Larry regularly meets with pitching and hitting instructors ,sports coaches , and trainers to ensure continuity of technique.
Whether coaching age group athletes, or assisting with senior rehab exercise, caring for the person is evident in every interaction. Affectionately dubbed “The Fitness Whisperer” , Larry is quick to offer encouragement, and understanding. With an analogy for every situation, “Oh , now I get it “ is a phrase that he hears often.
“Rather than run a program and hope it works , I prefer to design workouts around people . Why train a volleyball player as if she were a linebacker , it makes no sense. Training is simple , begin with the end in mind . Create a better athlete and then let them play ”
